We are sad to announce the passing of Zip in late August, 2011.
"Zip" was of the last foal crop of Zippo Pat Bars and has Three Bars and Leo on his papers.  Zip has one foal that has been shown in AQHA and that foal was shown three times, winning 2 times.  Zip's half brother and his sire are both in the AQHA Hall of Fame.  We had Zip pulled out of the pasture after 5-plus years of running with the mares and not being ridden; then Pat Severance took him for 30 days and showed him at a working cow horse show, getting 71 in the cutting and 71 in the reining.
Zip throws colts with very pretty head and necks and they are proving to be extremely athletic, along with being very pretty movers. There some in the area that are going into the rope horse world and some are being shown in western pleasure, along with a couple now going into being barrel horses. Remember, Zip's dad has a 95 speed index and his granddad is the immortal THREE BARS.
