Peppy Picante comes from a strong line of show and using horses.  His pedigree is filled with NCHA and AQHA Hall of Famers, money earners, NCHA COA and AQHA ROM earners.  His sire, Scooter San Lena, was on the fast track to the NCHA futurity when a freak accident ended his career before it even started.  Even with a slight hitch in a hind leg this stallion still has the right moves for a cutting horse.  However his grandsire, Poco San Lena, was a great show horse himself, with over $32,000 in NCHA earnings and a top ten in Open Junior Cutting at the AQHA World show.  He has sired horses that have gone on to rope, cut, team pen, and rein.  Peppy Picante’s dam, Patty Picante, was not shown due to no fault of her own.  However she was broke to ride.  Her sire, Chile Picante, was shown at mostly at NCHA weekend jackpot shows and is a money earner.  He has sired horses that have gone on to rope, team pen, and cut.  Her dam, Old Flits Patty, was used as a rope and ranch horse.

I expect great things from this young stallion.  He is very athletic and a very quick learner.  He will be started this winter and headed for a show career in working cow horse cutting and/or reining.
