Iron has working and performance horses on both sides of his pedigree. He is by Pretty Classy Zip, a black AQHA stallion, who has Noor Charge, Nasrullah, Three Bars, Leo, Poco Bueno, Bill Cody and Zippo Pat Bars in his pedigree. Zip is producing halter, performance, working and cow horses. Iron is out of a daughter of Colida's Echo, an own son of Colida. Echo's foals are people orientated working horses. Iron's dam was used on the ranch and competed in Appaloosa and 4-H shows. She was in training for cutting until an injury changed her future. The Colida line is known for halter, performance, working and race horses. Iron competed in the 98, 99 and 2000 Montana State Appaloosa shows and won an invitation to the World in the Heritage Class each time. Attending only the 2000 World Appaloosa Show, Iron placed 8th in his class. Iron was shown in open shows. He has ACAAP merits in trail, judged trail rides and western pleasure. Iron's filly placed well at the Montana State Appaloosa show her weanling and yearling years. She also placed well in under saddle in the open shows. His foals are easy to work with and try to please.
