We welcome CHIC OLENA 0067 to the Montana Horse Company in July 2007 to replace our late stallion GINNIN ROAD (1998-2007). CHIC OLENA 0067 was standing stallion from Miller Land and Livestock, Wyoming were he was in training for the National Reining Futurity, but was never able to show.  Of course being a full brother to SMART CHIC OLENA he would have made good competition.  Their sire SMART LITTLE LENA was the 2^nd All-Time Leading Cutting Horse with lifetime earnings in excess of $743,000.  Sire of 900 offspring with earnings in excess of $27,900,000 and is the All-Time Leading Sire of cutting horses.  Their dam GAY SUGAR CHIC by GAY BAR KING has offspring earnings in excess of $401,980, including SMART CHIC OLENA.  His total earnings are in excess of $167,400, AQHA ROM earner.  He was a 1988 NCHA Futurity 3 year old Open semifinalist; he tied for 3^rd place in the 1989 NCHA Super Stakes 5 year old Open and in 1990 was the AQHA World Show Senior Cutting Champion; placed 4^th in 1991 in the NCHA Summer Cutting Spectacular Open as a 6 year old and in 1993 was the AQHA World Show Senior Reining Champion.  2003 NRCHA 5^th Leading Sire and 3^rd All-Time Leading Sire; in 2004 was NRHA 3^rd Leading Sire and Sire of 2004 NRHA Open Futurity Champion; in 2005 was NRHA Open Derby Champion, NRHA Hall of Fame, and AQHA Champion Reining and Cutting horse.  SMART CHIC OLENA has offspring earnings in excess of $5,291,200.
CHIC OLENA 0067 hasn’t been on the ranch to long but has already made a huge impression.  He is very easy to handle and has a wonderful disposition as well as kid friendly. We are expecting some late foals from CHIC OLENA 0067 for 2008.  We can’t wait to see what we get!
